Awakening the Dreamer, Changing the Dream Symposium, on July 21st from 5-8 pm at the office of Imagine! in Lafayette. (See above)

A member of Transitions Louisville will introduce our transition initiatives at the conclusion of this event.

The mission of the Symposium is bold: to bring forth an environmentally sustainable, spiritually fulfilling, and socially just human presence on this planet. Through leading-edge information, inspiring multimedia, internal reflection time, and dynamic group interactions, participants are inspired to reconnect with their deep care and concern for our world and are empowered to make a difference.

We'll explore four questions:

* Where Are We? – an examination of the state of environmental, social and personal well-being
* How did We Get Here? – tracing the root causes that lead to our current imbalance
* What’s Possible for the Future? – discovering new ways of relating with each other, with the Earth and looking at the emerging Movement for change
* Where Do We Go from Here? – considering the stand we want to be in the world and our personal and collective impact

I'm sending this to those of you who have expressed interest in attending, know people who might be interested, live near here, and/or are exploring ways to make a difference in the world. Also, this fits with the work I do because for people who are contemplating what's next in their careers, the symposium gives them a broader perspective for considering emerging needs and how their gifts and skills are truly needed now.

The Symposium has been presented in schools, churches, organizations, and community groups in more than 35 countries around the world. When I attended the Symposium 2 years ago, it so profoundly impacted me that I became a volunteer facilitator to share this message with others to create a new vision of our future.
